Seniors

The city of Royal Oak has an aging population.  Many families that moved here years ago for employment have raised their families and are now retired.  There is a unique opportunity to encourage, embrace and serve the seniors that live in this area.
The Royal Oak church has various opportunities for our seniors to continue to study the Bible, serve our community and fellowship with each other.  On the second Monday of each month about 100 seniors enjoy a fellowship lunch and entertainment at the Royal Oak church building.  Many of the seniors participate in a weekly Bible class on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 – 11:30 am at the church building.  A few go out together for lunch following the class.  Periodically the teens occasionally host a lunch followed by an outing to a show or activity.
While there are many who serve in this program, Greg Thomas is the deacon who directs the Seniors’ Ministry at Royal Oak.
