It can be a challenge to be a parent of young children and it can be even more difficult if you’re a single parent.  In addition to our weekly Bible class program, Royal Oak plans various events for families to be together at Christian activities.  We host a monthly Family Movie Night on Saturday evenings during the winter months.  Our annual Vacation Bible School for children and adults is hosted in August each year.  We plan a “Fall Festival” which is a fun-filled afternoon of activities, rides, games and food.  Our teens provide babysitting for young families at Christmas and Valentines Day. We also schedule special Marriage or Parenting seminars, workshops or classes to equip and encourage parents and children.  Dan Decker is the deacon who coordinates activities and events for the Young Families Ministry.
